This week, the ICTER administrative team conducted a two-day study visit to our partner institution, the Institut de la Vision in Paris. The purpose of the visit was to review organisational solutions supporting research activities, exchange best practices, and further strengthen cooperation within the TRIO-VI project.
The programme, prepared by the Institut de la Vision, enabled the ICTER team – Joanna Kartasiewicz, Magdalena Samson and Barbara Wendołowska – to gain detailed insight into the institute’s approach to grant management, project monitoring tools, HR procedures, and purchasing processes. Discussions with the IdV administrative and research support teams provided a valuable overview of operational workflows underpinning translational eye research and the management of EU-funded projects.
ICTER extends its sincere appreciation to Agathe Larmor for coordinating the programme and to Aurelie Pachkoff-Singh for co-hosting the visit. We are also grateful to all colleagues who shared their experience, introduced the operational structure of the IdV and their organisational practices, and openly discussed both effective solutions and challenges.
The visit contributed significantly to the exchange of knowledge between our institutions and will support the ongoing development of ICTER Centre of Excellence’s administrative processes. It also further strengthened the partnership between ICTER and the Institut de la Vision within the framework of the EU-funded TRIO-VI project.
