On 5–6 November, a delegation from ICTER led by Prof. Maciej Wojtkowski and Maciej Barański, Deputy Director for Education and Translation, visited TRIO-VI partner institutions in Paris. The visit included meetings at Hôpital des Quinze-Vingts, featuring a tour of the Clinical Investigation Centre. The program also included a TRIO-VI project presentation and networking session open to all IdV members, as well as a visit to the Vectorologie Platform.
The ICTER team was joined by Prof. Marcus Fruttiger and Prof. Fiona Reid from UCL, whose participation fostered valuable synergies and strengthened collaboration across the TRIO-VI consortium.
Meetings focused on key work packages — clinical, educational, and translational/IP — proved highly productive. The ICTER delegation expressed particular interest in IdV’s advanced platforms and imaging infrastructure, which offer great potential for joint initiatives.
As a direct follow-up, partners plan to organize a demonstration of the STOC-T system at ICTER, including test eye examinations on researchers to showcase its capabilities and explore future collaborative applications. The visit provided an excellent opportunity to deepen scientific collaboration, exchange expertise, and reinforce the collective vision of TRIO-VI as a leading European network in translational ophthalmic research.
