In May 2025, the TRIO-VI CoE project gained international recognition thanks to its presentation at the INORMS congress in Madrid – one of the most important global events for research management.

As part of the poster session, the TRIO-VI CoE project was presented in the context of governance and strategic approaches to development and innovation. The presentation focused on the project’s key assumptions, its governance structure, long-term strategy, and ways of integrating it into the European and global research system.

What is INORMS?

INORMS (International Network of Research Management Societies) is a unique platform for exchanging experiences in building sustainable research institutions, effectively utilizing European funds, and fostering interdisciplinarity in science.

The TRIO-VI CoE’s presence at this event is not only an opportunity to promote the project but also to build relationships with partners from institutions with high research potential, including those in Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Canada, and Japan. This year, the INORMS congress took place from May 6-8 at the IFEMA Palacio Municipal in Madrid.

Participation in the congress represents an important step in strengthening the international visibility of the ICTER Centre of Excellence as a reference institution in the field of ophthalmology and vision science. The presentation was well-received by the international community, which appreciated both the project’s ambition and its systemic assumptions.

By attending INORMS, the TRIO-VI operational manager gained the opportunity to initiate new discussions about strategic partnerships and establish contacts with institutions that, like ICTER, prioritize the synergistic combination of basic science, clinical implementation, and technology transfer.
